Malappuram: Over 800 grams of gold was seized from a traveller at Kozhikode airport who had landed from Dubai on Sunday. He was intercepted by a team lead by Deputy Commissioner T A Kiran.
The gold is said to be worth Rs 38.86 lakhs, according to reports.
Officials said Ibrahim Sherif of Omassery in Kozhikode had smuggled the gold in capsules.
