Kerala Health Minister reveals Covid-19 cases are on the rise after elections

Kerala Health Minister K.K. Shailaja revealed that Covid-19 cases are increasing in the state after the assembly elections. She further added that the state is actively seeking more vaccines from the Center on a priority basis.

Kannur: State Health Minister K. K. Shailaja has said that Covid-19 cases in the state are on the rise after the assembly elections. She further added that those with symptoms must get tested and adequate measures to counter the pandemic will be taken at ward level.

The health minister added, vaccines should not be exported without ensuring adequate availability in the country. "Have sought more vaccines to the centre on a priority basis. The immunisation campaign will get halted if a sufficient number of vaccines are not received on time. The covid prevention panels at the grass-root levels will visit each and every household in an area."
