Thiruvananthapuram: A team of eight officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax from Bengaluru landed in the state capital to follow up on the information they received from the now arrested son of CPI-M state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan-Bineesh Kodiyeri.
If they arrive at the house of Bineesh, where his parents also live, it could well be a nerve-racking experience for Balakrishnan, who has been in the forefront of taking potshots at numerous Congress leaders and calling them corrupt.
A battery of media personnel has taken their place in front of Balakrishnan's house, here, so has the security at the house been increased with police officials posted inside and outside the house.

The custodial interrogation of Bineesh has now allegedly unearthed Benami deals and the high ranking officials who have arrived will arrive at the business establishments of Bineesh's friends and business associates which includes a leading car accessories businessman and a dealer dealing in marbles and granite beside the hotels where Bineesh is alleged to be a partner who is alleged to have been given 'sweat equity' by the owners.
It was on October 29th that Bineesh was arrested under the charges of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. He was taken into custody after his close aide Anoop Mohammed was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Bengaluru.
On Monday a Bengaluru court gave another five days custody of Bineesh to the ED.
On Tuesday for the first time the counsel of Bineesh was allowed to meet him.
