Thrissur (Kerala): A 30-year-old woman doctor was allegedly stabbed to death by her colleague over a trivial issue at Kuttanellur in Kerala's Thrissur on Sunday.
The woman has been identified as Sona of Muvattupuzha and her attacker has been identified as Dr Mahesh of the same locality.
According to sources, a bitter argument erupted between Sona and Mahesh this morning over some trivial issue. However, the argument turned ugly and Mahesh lost his cool.
In a fit of rage, he took out a knife and stabbed Sona repeatedly. He fled the spot leaving her critically injured.
Though some neighbours reached for help, the woman succumbed to her injuries before she could be rushed to the hospital.
On being informed, local police reached the spot and took the body for post-mortem, sources said.

"Dr Sona had a relationship with Mahesh. They were living in the same flat for two years. They were running a dental clinic at Kuttanellur and earlier, Sona had lodged a complaint following her financial dealings with Mahesh. A case of murder under Section 300, 302 of IPC has been registered against him and further investigation is underway," a police official said.
Reportedly, a search is underway to nab the accused who is on the run after committing the crime, sources added.
