Kochi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Tuesday seized five kg of marijuana at the Cochin International Airport during a security check, an official said.
The accused has been identified as Sajeer Ahmed (36) and the case has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). A CISF officer stated, during a pre-embarkation security check, CISF personnel noticed some suspicious material inside a bag. After strict security check, four packets containing marijuana was recovered, it weighed approximately 5 kg and was kept hidden inside the bag.

Reportedly, the man has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
