Pathanamthitta (Kerala): A 62-year-old woman, who had tested positive for coronavirus 19 times, finally tested negative on Thursday. Lodged at the Kozhencherry District Hospital in Kerala's Pathanamthitta, the woman was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 for the past 45 days.
The woman, who is also a diabetic, had contracted novel coronavirus disease after her interaction with an Italy-returned family, a report said.

Over the past 1.5 months treatment, all of her test reports came as positive for coronavirus, after which it was decided by health experts to administer Ivermectin.
Ivermectin is usually an antifungal drug, used to treat fungal infections. A special medical team is to reach the district for further clinical studies on this case.
Meanwhile, applying Ivermectin led to a negative report for the first time in her case.
However, sources of the District Medical Office said that she can be declared to have recovered from COVID-19 only if the second consecutive test gives a negative result, adding that her second sample would be sent for test on Wednesday or Thursday.
As per protocol, the health department concludes that a COVID-19 patient has completely recovered from the viral infection only after two consecutive tests become negative.
The health experts said that the woman is stable and does not have any other comorbid conditions, other than diabetes.
Meanwhile, she was among the first set of COVID-19 positive cases in the district of Kerala.
