'Yuva Brigade' distributes free meal for Covid patients

Yuva Brigade is providing free meals to Covid patients in Bengaluru. The service has been started in Jayanagar, Girinagar, Basavanagudi, Banashankari as well as in Hubli and Dharwad.

Bengaluru: As Karnataka is severely hit by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, 'Yuva Brigade' has started the distribution of free meals in Bengaluru to those Covid patients who are under home isolation.

The service is being provided to the people suffering from Covid who are living alone and does not know cooking.

To inform the needy people about this initiative, the founder of Yuva Brigade Organization Chakravarthy Sulibele created a special video.

The video has been circulated on social media on a large scale to reach out to those who are searching for nutritious food to combat the virus.

The service is available in Jayanagar, Girinagar, Basavanagudi and Banashankari areas of the city. The service has recently started in Hubli and Dharwad.

A total of 250 meal packages are distributed each day.

The service is being done in collaboration with BNMIT and Swami Vivekananda Shrestha India.

Nearly 16 Yuva Brigade members are delivering meals on their bikes.

"People suffering from severe fatigue need rest. We are delivering tasty and healthy meals which helps in the speedy recovery of the patient. We are preparing food while following all safety precautions and it helps us to get satisfaction," Chakravarthy Sulibele said.

Yuva Brigade members are doing night shifts in Mysuru Covid war rooms.

The organisation is also actively involved in holding blood donation camps in northern Karnataka districts, including Haveri.

For all its efforts and hard work, the Yuva Brigade team has been applauded by people across the nation.
