Gadag (Karnataka) : Accusing Congress of being anti-Hindu, BJP MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal has asserted that voting for the Congress candidates in the elections is like voting for Pakistan. He spoke in Gadag on Tuesday about the Congress mentioning in its manifesto that it will ban Bajrang Dal if it comes to power.
Basangouda said that it would not be possible to ban Bajrang Dal as it is not doing any anti-national activity. It is working to save the Hindu religion, culture, and civilization of India, he said and added that no power in the world can ban Bajrang Dal. He asked D K Shivakumar to explain how they can take action and challenged the Congress leader to ban Bajrang Dal.
The Congress government will not come to power and so it can't ban Bajrang Dal, he quipped. If the Congress plans to do something like that, all the Hindus will ban them, Basangouda said. They are doing this to woo Muslim votes and Congress does not need the votes of Hindus, he said.

Basangouda said if the people vote for Congress, they will ban vibhuti and saffron as well. Rahul Gandhi is a duplicate of Gandhi, he criticised. Basavaraj Bommai had made a pilgrimage for Mahadayi and had settled the Mahadayi dispute. Commenting on Congress leaders, the BJP MLA said that D K Shivakumar was threatening to cut his tongue. He sarcastically said Siddaramaiah is a good man as he said they gave ten kg of rice and people voted for BJP.
