Hubli: Two ambulances with special facilities for emergency treatment have been deployed in Hubli for service personnel on duty in remote areas such as the Indian border and the Himalayas.
The ambulances were prepared by Able Design Engineering Pvt Ltd of Aryabhata Techpark located in the city's industrial colony and Spira Technology Company to benefit the country's warriors.
A new emergency vehicle has been prepared for the rescue of wounded or trapped soldiers in the Himalayas. This emergency vehicle is different from all other emergency vehicles, as it is capable of treating patients on any challenging road. There is power steering fitted in the ambulances with an air suspension system, which makes it easy to reach in any terrain in any situation.

What are the facilities:
The ambulance is also equipped with oxygen, ventilator, AC, and heater. The ambulance also carries 35 lakhs worth of good quality medical equipment. There is a modern primary care facility, a storage facility for medicines, an auto-loading stretcher, a space for doctors and necessary equipment.
TeleMedicine:
The vehicle will also operate as a mobile ambulance. Doctors have the audio and video facility to contact doctors of prestigious hospitals from within the ambulance.
Last December, the tender was awarded to DEBL (Defense Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory) vehicle under DRDO. The vehicle is ready for DRDO order. Jagdish Hiremath, Head of Able Design Engineering, said the vehicle was designed to withstand a landfall, heavy rainfall and snowflakes that are likely to hit the Himalayas.
