Chitradurga (Karnataka): Dogs that live on the streets are struggling to find food. So recognizing this, Padmavathi, a resident of Chitradurga's Vishweshwaraiah Park, regularly feeds more than 80 street dogs.
Every day she rides a two-wheeler and feeds the dogs.
If street dogs get sick, she takes care of them. The residents of the city also admire Padmavati for her love of street dogs. Padmavati's mother had been raising street dogs at home from an early age. Now she is continuing the same thing. She provides food for more than 80 street dogs every day.
Padmavati provides food to dogs in the morning and evening. And she has been serving meals for the past five to six years. So when her scooter horn is heard, the dogs come running.
Even Padmavati's daughter has also joined hands to fill the bellies of street dogs. She goes out with her mother to serve meals.
Nowadays people spend thousands and buy a dog. But many did not take care of street dogs. So Padmavathi is now transferring pets to the village for good maintenance. "We must treat them with love. They will always love us" dog lover Padmavathi said.
