Belagavi (Karnataka): When the transportation facilities across the country became standstill due to the nationwide lockdown to contain COVID-19 pandemic, a newborn suffering from heart ailment was brought by a special flight from Surat to Karnataka.
A special team of doctors from Surat took the infant for treatment in Bengaluru.

Later it was decided to shift the infant to the KLE Medical College in Belagavi as the health condition of the infant got deteriorated.
According to sources, even though, there is an emergency situation has been prevailing due to the coronavirus threat, still the doctors of KLE Medical College took the case in priority.
Meanwhile, the whole country is struggling under the scare of COVID-19 which has almost overshadowed the world within a short span.
