Mysuru: The sound system and lighting business owners in the city who used to have swift business during the Mysuru Dussehra festival are facing the brunt of the pandemic corona with no takers of their services and the Karnataka government announcing a low-key event this year.
Every year during the ten-day Dussehra festival the city used to be decked up with lights and colours along with blaring music in nook and corners of the city.
With little to no business throughout this year, the business owners hoped that the festive season would bring in money but the government's order came as another blow.

Following the order, the sound and light owners have requested monetary help from the government.
The state government order came on September 11 after a high-level meeting that was attended by all three Deputy CMs, other ministers, and top government officials, Chief Minister Yediyurappa.
CM Yediyuappa also directed top government officials involved in conducting the celebrations not to allow the sale and marketing of Chinese products in the city.
