Bengaluru: In a humanitarian gesture, Sonu Sood Charitable Trust has saved the lives of more than 10 COVID-19 patients by providing oxygen in time in the city.

The patients were treated in a private hospital near Yelahanka. But two people died due to oxygen shortage overnight.

As the situation turned worse, the hospital staff immediately called the Yelahanka Newtown police when the oxygen started depleting. Inspector Satyanarayan, who had arrived at the hospital, had called Sonu Sood Charitable Trust members. The staff has responded to the inspectors' request and brought 11 oxygen cylinders in their cars and two-wheelers.

More than 10 people were given oxygen immediately. If there was a delay in the delivery of the oxygen cylinder it could have resulted in the mortality of the patients at ICU.
