21-year-old man murders mother in Karnataka

Shivappa Lamani on November 12 attacked his mother in a deserted area near Gangibawi Road and strangled her to death.

Haveri: In a harrowing incident in Karnataka, a son raped and murdered his mother at Gangibawi Road in Shigganvi Taluk.

Shivappa Lamani on November 12 took his mother to a deserted area near Gangibawi Road, where he raped and later strangled her to death.

Reportedly, Shivappa's father died six years ago and his mother was in a relationship with another man. Angered by this the 21-year-old killed her.

After the investigation accused has been arrested. Following the day of the accident, the body was found and a case was registered at the Shiggaon town police station.
