HD Kumaraswamy met an astrologer at midnight to consult over his son, Nikhil Gowda's political career as he is under stress. Nikhil has been fielded from the Mandya Lok Sabha seat against Sumalatha, the multi-lingual actress and the widow of late Congress leader M.H. Ambareesh.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy who is under stress over his son, JD-S leader and Kannada actor Nikhil Gowda contesting in Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, yesterday midnight met his family guru Dwarakanath, sources said.

Dwarakanath said, "As a guru, I will give suggestion to my followers be it whoever."

Nikhil Gowda has said the party leadership agreed to field him from the Mandya Lok Sabha seat, Sumalatha, the multi-lingual actress and the widow of late Congress leader M.H. Ambareesh, has expressed her wish to contest from the constituency on a Congress ticket.

Ambareesh was Congress member of the Lok Sabha from Mandya. He passed away in November last year. The seat is currently represented by L.R. Shivarame Gowda of the JD-S.

While JD-S supremo H.D. Deve Gowda had said he had given his "consent" to 29-year-old Nikhil for contesting from the seat, Congress leader Siddaramaiah ruled out fielding Sumalatha as its candidate from Mandya, as it would be contested by the JD-S.

Actress Sumalatha and Nikhil kumar contesting in same Loksabha constituency this makes HDK gone under stress. contesting against Sumalatha who is also wife of famous actor late Ambarish is not so easy because Mandya voters has affection with actor Ambarish.
