Ullal (Karnataka): A teenager, who went missing from his residence at KC Road in Ullal police station limits in Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, was found dead on Sunday. Police said, prima facie, it appeared to be a case of murder.
The deceased is Hakeef, son of Hanif. He was 13. His body was found approximately 3 km away from his residence. His head was smashed, probably with a heavy stone, police said.

His parents had filed a missing complaint with the police on Saturday evening. As per the complaint, Hakeef went out of the house speaking over the phone. However, he did not return.
A trivial issue that erupted between some boys over PUBG, an online game that is banned in India, snowballed into a fight and ended up in Hakeef's murder, it is suspected. However, the exact reason is yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is underway.
