Meet this Bengaluru driver who is a Sanskrit advocate

Mallappa, a cab driver from Karnataka, wants to revive and conserve the heritage of the Indic language- Sanskrit. However, his fluency in Sanskrit has gone viral, attracting a lot of interest on social media.

Bengaluru: This cab driver from the city of Bengaluru in Karnataka has taken over the internet by speaking fluent Sanskrit.

The video has done several rounds in social media and has kicked up a debate over the need to learn the ancient language.

He introduced himself as Mallappa in the short video and claimed that he holds a Master's degree in Sanskrit.

Mallappa is fluent in both Sanskrit and Kannada and wants to preserve the ancient language.
