Bengaluru: This cab driver from the city of Bengaluru in Karnataka has taken over the internet by speaking fluent Sanskrit.

Meet Sanskrit speaking Bengaluru driver

The video has done several rounds in social media and has kicked up a debate over the need to learn the ancient language.

He introduced himself as Mallappa in the short video and claimed that he holds a Master's degree in Sanskrit.

Mallappa is fluent in both Sanskrit and Kannada and wants to preserve the ancient language.

Further, Indian Twitterati embraced the language and a string of tweets were posted in support of the unique cabby.
