Mangaluru: Even as COVID-19 patients and their caretakers in Mangaluru are having a tough time, like thousands of others across the country, 'M Friends', a group of friends here, have extended a helping hand by providing them night meals for free.

M Friends members said they provide food, both for patients and their caretakers. The group, which has been actively involved in social services for many years, has now embarked on this noble initiative.
"People are severely distressed. People from the poor and the middle-class are under financial distress. We are just trying to ease their situation in a small way," Abubaker Vitla, a group member said.
Some donors, who have recognized various social service activities of M Friends, have joined hands with the group.
