K'taka Guv should invite the other party to form govt, says BJP MP

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje said that her party had no involvement in the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka, and that the Governor should invite the other party to form the government.

New Delhi: Claiming that the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka is the fallout of the Congress-JDS internal conflict, BJP MP from Karnataka Shobha Karandlaje on Monday said that the Governor should invite the other party to form the government.

Karandlaje said BJP had no involvement in the political crisis in Karnataka

Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Karandlaje said that Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has lost the majority and 'should resign from the post of Chief Minister'.

"Governor should invite the other party to form the Government," said Karandlaje.

She clarified that BJP has nothing to do with the issue. "We are neither involved in the political crisis of the Congress nor are we doing any horse trading," said Karandlaje.

The BJP lawmaker called on former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa early this morning. Sources said that she had a talk over the political situation in the state.

"Our party is a national party, and the party's central leadership will take the final call," Karandlaje said.

Sources said that BJP, on the other hand, has already started making political equations to form the government, in a possible circumstances.
