Bengaluru: Amid the political turmoil that has rocked Congress-JD(S) coalition in the state, BJP Karnataka MLAs, who are lodged at Ramada Hotel, enjoyed de-stress session and performed yoga here on Sunday.
Dressed in casual t-shirts and track pants, BJP legislators were seen performing asanas in the lush garden of the hotel. They seemed relaxed as they perfected yoga postures under the guidance of an instructor.
On July 10, legislators of the JD(S) had indulged in some de-stressing and performed yoga at the Golfshire Club. A night at the lavish facility costs over Rs 15,000, as per various travel websites.
Earlier this month, the JD(S) leadership had booked 10 villas, 15 deluxe rooms, and 10 cottages at Paddington resort located in Madikeri about 250 km from Bengaluru for three days.
This hotel-hopping comes at a time when the13-month-old Congress-JD(S) coalition is on the brink of collapse following the resignations of sixteen MLAs from the ruling coalition, including 13 from Congress and three JD(S) MLAs.
The trust vote is scheduled for Monday after the House was adjourned in the wake of the Assembly failing to meet the two deadlines set by Governor Vajubhai Vala to complete the trust vote on July 19.
The Karnataka Assembly has 225 members, including one nominated MLA. The halfway mark in the 225-member Assembly is 113.
