Chikmagalur (Karnataka): A man killed his elder brother who was tested positive for COVID-19. The murder took place at Marasanige village of Kalasa taluk in Chikmagalur on Sunday.

The deceased is Mahaveer. He was 45.

Mahaveer was tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago following which he was admitted to a hospital. However, he got discharged and arrived back home before recovering completely. This led to a war of words between him and his brother Parshwanath. In a fit of anger, the latter hacked Mahaveer to death.

A case has been registered at the Kalasa police station.
