Bengaluru: The cyber crime police of Bengaluru have arrested a 40 year-old man for creating a fake account under the name Bengaluru City Police on Facebook.
The accused, Pankaj Kumar Bachavat is a resident of Malleshwaram.
According to the cops, the accused recently opened a fake account in the name of city police and was posting contents for his personal benefits.

Bhoja Raja sub-inspector, who works in the cyber crime station, filed a complaint. Later, a team, led by Additional Commissioner Sandeep Patil and DCP, arrested the accused.
"He was posting things under the name of Bangalore city police. Apparently his idea was to use this account for his personal benefit; the investigation is ongoing," a cop said.
