Bangalore: Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa who was hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19 has recovered. Yeddyurappa was discharged from Manipal Hospital today owing to his full recovery.
The CM was admitted to Manipal Hospital on April 16 as Covid-19 was confirmed. He was treated at the hospital for six days according to the Covid protocol.
Currently, he has been tested for Covid-19 and the report has come as negative. Thus, the hospital has decided to discharge him.
This was the second time that the 78-year-old BJP leader tested positive for coronavirus.

In August 2020, Yediyurappa was diagnosed with COVID-19 for the first time, along with several of his family members. In March this year, the chief minister had taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and was due to take his second dose.
Karnataka reported 17030 new COVID-19 cases, 6412 discharges, and 116 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the total Covid tally of the state reached 1032233 including 176207 active cases.
