Bengaluru (Karnataka) : An FIR has been registered at DJ Halli police station after a businessman was accused of sexually harassing a woman he met at the airport. A 33-year-old woman of K B Sandra Ambedkar Layout of DJ Halli had lodged a complaint with the State Commission for Women regarding the incident.
A case has been registered against the businessman on the instructions of the Women's Commission. The victim had arrived at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport from Mumbai at 12 midnight on August 14. At this time, while waiting at the cab zone of the airport to book a cab and go home, the accused industrialist came and introduced himself, booked the cab himself and the victim went home in the cab.
The accused, who got her number, called the victim the next morning and asked her to come to meet him. The victim refused to meet him due to illness. As the days passed by, the two talked on the mobile phone and grew fond of each other. The victim confided in businessman Ganesh about the difficulties she faced in her family and personal life.

He kept in touch and made mobile calls and chats with the victim after developing the friendship. Later he video-called her and started playing the EQ game. As the days passed by, the behaviour of the accused changed and the victim decided to cut off his friendship. But the accused businessman pressured the victim to keep the relationship with him.
It is alleged in the complaint that he started sexually harassing her. DJ Halli police have registered a case in connection with this incident and are investigating.
