The newly painted walls also feature alphabets in English and Kannada language. A total of Rs 8 lakhs have been earmarked for this renovation project. The project is jointly undertaken by the district administration under the aegis of ministry of women and child development.
This comes at a time when private schools are moving ahead with online classes and further extending the education gap between the rich and the poor. The project is slated to support government schools which are crumbling with low enrollments, crumbling infrastructure and dwindling finances.
