Karwar(Karnataka): It's not easy to lock yourself away from family and friends and stay in a quarantine centre for COVID-19 treatment. Indeed, it is extremely difficult for children to stay away from their parents. Here is a story of an eight-year-old boy infected with the novel coronavirus who refused to leave his mother, when the medical officials arrived to take him to the quarantine centre.
It was shocking for the family staying in Mundugodu of Uttara Kannada district to know that their 8-year-old son tested positive for coronavirus while they tested negative.
The health department officials who came to take him to a quarantine centre broke into tears when they saw the boy covered in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hugging his mother tightly and crying loudly.
Their eyes filled with tears when they saw the boy crying and saying to his mother, "I can't live without you mom".
The officials tried to convince the boy and with special permission, they manage to make him communicate with his mother through video call regularly.
