Bengaluru: The Bengaluru City Police on Sunday arrested 21 Foreign nationals who were settled illegally, without renewing their visa period.
According to the reports, Foreign Regional Registration Officials (FRRO) also accompanied the city police when the arrests were made.
All the accused are natives of different African countries including Uganda, Nigeria, Republic of Congo and the West African nation of Ivory Coast.
They travelled to the Karnataka Capital for different purpose including Tourism, Education and Business activities.
The FRRO officials also claimed that the Financial penalties are imposed for such visa violation acts.
"They were living in rent houses and were involved in illegal businesses," the police said.
Foreigners can apply online for availing registration and other visa related services in the office of FRRO/FROs in India.
Visa violation include indulging in activities which are not permitted under the visa granted to the foreigner.
