Karnataka: 40 nursing students test COVID positive

Shedding light on the continuing threat from coronavirus, as many as 40 students of Manjushree College of Nursing in Bengaluru tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

Bengaluru: As many as 40 students of Manjushree College of Nursing in Bengaluru tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

According to health officials, most of the positive students hail from Kerala.

They further said that some students were shifted to Victoria Hospital whereas the rest were put in quarantine.

After the test results came out, the Karnataka government announced that students coming from Kerala to Karnataka must get a COVID negative test report.

Karnataka on Friday logged 380 fresh COVID-19 cases and eight fatalities, taking the total number of cases and toll to just above 9.44 lakh and 12,259 respectively.
