Bengaluru: Whitefield police have registered a criminal case against Shahtaj Khanam former Deputy Mayor of Bengaluru city for allegedly posting derogatory and morphed photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Facebook.
Kiran Aradhya, who noticed the post has filed a complaint on September 11. Aradhya alleged that Khanam has been posting morphed photographs of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath along with derogatory comments since January.
She also posted a status which hurt the religious beliefs of a community, he alleged.
Police have taken up a case under the IT Act. Following this, Khanam approached the 58th Additional City Civil and Sessions Court.
