Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar is scheduled to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday for questioning in connection with the disproportionate assets case.
Shivakumar is facing a slew of cases by the Income Tax department and Enforcement Directorate (ED) for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets worth ₹74.93 crores.
Earlier the CBI had summoned Shivakumar on November 23 but he had asked for another date.
CBI on October 5 had conducted raids at 14 locations, including in Karnataka, Delhi and Mumbai at the premises linked to Mr Shivakumar and others.

The investigating agency had said searches have led to the recovery of ₹57 lakh cash and several documents, including property documents, bank related information, computer hard disk etc.
DK Shivakumar, who was appointed chief of the Congress’ Karnataka state unit in March this year, had been a minister in the Siddaramaiah government of the Congress as well as the Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS)-Congress Government led by HD Kumaraswamy.
