"Police don't lathicharge for their enjoyment. At present, some policemen are not even able to get water and meals on time. Still, they perform their duty," the court noted.

"The whole world is suffering from COVID infection. So the police are trying to get people to stay home. The police are on duty despite the fear of life. The state's police are disciplined officers. As you say, a couple of cops may be beyond the frame. But filing FIR against policemen is inappropriate." the court said.
