Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths conducted surprise raids on foreign nationals who were living illegibly in east and northeast Bengaluru in the early hours on Thursday and arrested over 35 foreign nationals. The crime branch also seized Ganja from their possession.
CCB raided the homes of foreigners living in the city, including the East Division and the Northeast and Whitefield Zone. More than seven foreign nationals from Kammanahalli, Sampigehalli, Ramamurthy Nagar, Banaswadi, Yelahanka and Whitefield were arrested.
In the eastern part of the city, ACP Gautam-led team raided more than 40 foreign nationals' houses and more than 60 homes were raided in the Northeast Division while a team lead by ACP Parameshwar raided the residence of 12 foreign nationals and arrested four foreign nationals in the White Field Division.
