Case against an advocate for throwing ink on Kannada writer and rationalist K S Bhagavan

A case has been filed by the police against advocate Meera Raghavendra and her husband Raghavendra. The both of them had thrown ink on Kannada writer and rationalist Prof. K S Bhagavan.

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Police have filed a case against advocate Meera Raghavendra and her husband Raghavendra for throwing ink on Kannada writer and rationalist Prof. K S Bhagavan in court premises.

A few months back, Meera Raghavendra had filed a complaint against Bhagavan for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. On Feb 4, 2021 Meera threw ink on Bhagavan's face while he was leaving after attending a hearing in court. Bhagavan alleges that she also threatened to kill him.

With regarding to this incident, Prof Bhagavan filed a case at Halasuru Gate Police Station, Bengaluru. A case has been registered against Meera her husband Raghavendra under IPC Section 341, 504 and 506.
