Chitradurga: At first, this video seemed improbable! However, the attention it had garnered over the social media, speaks volumes about the 'impromptu act' by a young farmer.
Hailing from the little known village of Hiriyur in Karnataka's Chitradurga district, the farmer H R Pradeep, chose to steer away from the traditional songs associated with agricultural activities, and chose to croon to 'Baby', a popular song by Canadian singer Justin Bieber, whilst working on the field!
With an imperceptible rendition of the song in the background, Pradeep (26) shakes a leg, according to the tunes, and continues singing 'Baby' in an inimitable style, much to the astonishment of the locals.
Not confined to the 'Beiber Fever', Pradeep also sings and dances to other western music, including Michael Jackson. Though, not an exact copy, his efforts were appreciated by the netizens.
While talking to ETV Bharat, Pradeep says, "During my Class 12 days, I had failed in English. My father wanted me to become a farmer, but I was determined to master the language. That is how I developed an interest towards western music," remarked Pradeep, while speaking to ETV Bharat.
He further claimed that he could sing songs in Chinese and Japanese. “I don’t know either of the languages. I listen to the songs, repeatedly, and follow the tune and accent. Whatever I'm doing, I always plug in the earphones and listen to songs,” he added.
