Mumbai: Amazon and Flipkart, the two E-Commerce giants, have responded positively to include Marathi on their web portals and apps. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has made a strong demand to include the Marathi language in their online shopping app. The party fighting for Marathi people had warned to agitate if its demand is not met within seven days. Now, Amazon has responded positively to MNS and MNS party delegation will meet Amazon bosses in BKC on Tuesday.
MNS had become very aggressive for the inclusion of Marathi language on E-Commerce portals and apps. After acceptance of this demand, the two giant commerce companies have a big challenge to create a mega-chain of two crore products. But, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has himself taken cognizance of MNS mail concerning the demand and assured that the company will create the Marathi language app sooner. The two companies have informed that it will take 20 days to prepare for the implementation of Marathi on their apps. MNS has suggested the companies to block other languages for seven days. MNS leader Akhil Chitre will meet Amazon officials at BKC today evening in this regard.
