Actor Sanchari Vijay 'showing signs of brain failure': Medical Bulletin

The actor, a national film award winner and a prominent face in the COVID19 relief activities in Bengaluru, had met with a fatal accident on Saturday night.  Authorities of Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru clarified that Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay are showing signs of 'brain failure'.

Bengaluru: Authorities of Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru clarified that Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay are showing signs of 'brain failure'. The actor, a national film award winner and a prominent face in the COVID19 relief activities in Bengaluru, had met with a fatal accident on Saturday night. According to the reports, he was riding pillion on a friend's motorcycle without wearing a helmet.

His friend is also admitted to a city-based hospital where his condition is also critical. "Mr Vijay is being treated in Neuro ICU with all life support. His heart rate and blood pressure are stable. Neurologically, he is deeply unconscious and is showing signs of brain failure. The family has come forward and has consented to organ donation keeping in view the current irreversible brain damage," read the statement released by the hospital.

"We will continue to treat him with full life support and will follow the guidelines as per organ donation protocol. At this point of time, Mr Vijay is in critical condition and we will extend all supportive care," added the hospital statement.

The national awardee's family said that the actor always has the intention to serve society, that's the reason we have decided to donate his organ. "This would let his soul rest in peace," said his family member.
