Ranchi (Jharkhand): A love affair in Ranchi's Jharkhand takes a bizarre turn when a lover allegedly conspires to kill her supposed girlfriend but ends up injuring himself.
Dipak Sahu, took his supposed girlfriend for a drive when the car suddenly went up in flames. While the woman managed to flee unhurt, Sahu sustained serious burn injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by the locals.
Preliminary police investigation revealed that Sahu had planned to kill the woman while taking her out for a drive in his car.
"Sahu had planned to kill the woman in his car, but couldn't materialise his plan as the car suddenly caught fire, " said a police official.
Police also found a letter from the accident site, apparently written by Sahu's girlfriend, which says that she was pregnant and that she was aware that Sahu was planning to kill her.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to ascertain the identity of the woman and investigation into the case is underway.
