Dhanbad: In what may go down as a crucial benchmark in India's fight against the COVID-19 virus, an IT teacher from Dhanbad district of Jharkhand has developed a test kit for COVID-19.
The teacher, Bal Kishun Singh has proposed a project to the Ministry of Health wherein a thermal camera can be used to identify COVID-19 patients even amidst a crowd, a source said on Saturday.
"I have written a mail to the central and state governments stating the details of my research and putting forward my intention to help others. Due to lockdown, I have not been to get a lot of equipment required to carry out the project but I guarantee that the concept of the thermal camera is going to be of great use in fighting this pandemic," the IT teacher added.

He further said that this camera can be installed in any crowded places. On finding a coronavirus infected patient, the thermal camera will instantly impart information to the admin.
Moreover, Singh claims that this innovative idea can help the nation bring down the number of coronavirus cases. It will curb the spread of the deadly virus and the healthcare workers will be empowered through this process of testing.
