Jharkhand: Eight people died in a road accident in Ramgarh

Eight people, including women and a minor, were killed in two separate road accidents in Jharkhand''s Ramgarh district on Wednesday, police said.

Ramgarh (Jharkhand): Eight people, including women and a minor, were killed in two separate road accidents in Jharkhand''s Ramgarh district on Wednesday, police said. Five of them were charred to death as their car caught fire after a head-on collision with a bus, they said.

The accident happened on Ramgarh-Gola Main Road around 8 am, Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar

The driver of the bus was also critically injured and admitted to a hospital, police said, adding, the deceased include two men, two women and a teenage boy.

A few hours after the incident, three persons died and two others suffered injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle after hitting a highway divider near Bongabar village in the district, a police officer said.

The injured persons are undergoing treatment, he added.

According to the information, Golu Kumar Singh, Mohit Kumar Singh, Rishu Kumar Singh, Deepak Jha and Reki Kumar Singh, residents of Sheikhpura district of Bihar, were going to Rajrappa from their village to visit Chhinnamastika Maa. Amid incessant rain, their car overturned on the four-lane road near Koirikhet, Bongabar.

In which the drivers Mohit Kumar Singh and Golu Kumar Singh died on the spot. Another youth was seriously injured. All the injured were taken out of the car by the villagers and sent to the Sadar Hospital Ramgarh for treatment. From where everyone was referred to RIMS after first aid. While another youth, Krishna Kumar Singh died during treatment at RIMS. After the incident, the police took both the bodies in their possession and sent them for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the condition of Lalan Jha and Reki Kumar Singh, injured in this incident, is said to be critical.
