Deepak Prakash will win RS seat from Jharkhand: BJP MP Sunil Kumar Singh

BJP has expressed confidence that its candidate for Rajya Sabha election from Jharkhand Deepak Prakash would win and the Congress' design to get him defeated would fail. It said Prakash has required support as several political parties and independent MLAs are supporting him.

New Delhi: BJP MP Sunil Kumar Singh has said that the party candidate for Rajya Sabha election Deepak Prakash would win as the saffron party has required support from the allies and other like-minded political outfits.

Speaking to the ETV Bharat here, the BJP MP from Chatra, said despite 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand alliance) fielding a candidate, Congress, which is a part of it, also has its own candidate contesting the election for the upper house.

"We have required support. Our candidate will win and they will fail in defeating Deepak Prakash," he said, adding that the BJP was in talks with many political parties and independent MLAs to ensure the required support to win the seat.

"Congress, which does not want peaceful election, would loose," he stressed.
