New Delhi: National president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Shibu Soren, who is infected with COVID-19, has been brought to the national capital from Bokaro for better medical treatment on Wednesday.
Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, who boarded a Rajdhani Express train from Bokaro, has reached Delhi and will be admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, sources said.
Soren, who is also the father of current Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, had to travel by train as it would have been difficult for a coronavirus patient like him to breathe properly in the air ambulance, they said.
He was accompanied by doctors and other medical staffers during his journey. It is learnt that his wife is also suffering from the contagious disease and recuperating in Jharkhand only.
On August 21st, the former Jharkhand chief minister and his wife tested positive for Covid-19 were in home isolation as they did have symptoms. However, taking into account his age and medical record, the former chief minister was shifted to the Medanta Hospital in Ranchi.
