Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): The Director-General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbagh Singh said that a militant group, the Resistance Front (TRF ) is targetting and killing journalists, social workers and others in Kashmir at the behest of Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters at a function at District Police Lines in Srinagar on Tuesday, Dilbagh Singh said that the TRF had recently published a list of journalists on social media whom it wanted to target at the behest of Pakistan.
A list of journalists from Kashmir was published on social media last week, after which police registered a case against the URL at the Kothi Bagh police station.
Regarding the attacks by militants on security forces personnel on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, Dilbagh Singh said that security forces have been deployed on the highway but the attacks could not be stopped.

Two CRPF personnel who were injured in a terrorist attack in Srinagar on Monday morning had later succumbed to their injuries.
The two jawans, along with three others, had been injured as terrorists opened fire upon a road opening party (ROP) of the battalion at Pampore bypass.
Firing by the terrorists occurred at around 12:50 pm on Monday when CRPF troops along with Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were carrying out road opening operations.
