Srinagar: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived today on a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and Ladakh Union Territory. He was received at the Srinagar Airport by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
"President Kovind was received at Srinagar Airport by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. He was accorded guard of honour," a senior officer in Jammu and Kashmir administration told ETV Bharat.
Giving details about President's schedule, he said, "On July 26, he will participate in the 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The following day he will address the 19th Annual Ceremony of Kashmir University at SKICC. And will return to the capital Delhi on July 28."

Interestingly, the President was scheduled to attend the event in 2019, but he could not due to bad weather conditions at Srinagar Airport.
This is not the first time the president has visited Ladakh. Earlier in 2017, he visited Ladakh and met with stationed military personnel.
