Srinagar: In a major relief to fliers, the Srinagar airport is finally starting night flight operations from Sunday.
On March 23, low cost carrier GoAir had operated a trial night flight from Srinagar to New Delhi successfully.
As of now, the airport will operate up to three night flights from Srinagar.
The authorities said that all arrangements have been finalised in this regard.
The night flights are expected to improve the number of tourists coming to Kashmir during the summers.
Srinagar airport operates about 30 commercial flights daily.
