Srinagar: A fresh batch of foreign envoys will visit Jammu and Kashmir this week to get first-hand information about the ground situation after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, officials said on Monday.
The first batch of envoys, including the US Ambassador to India, had visited Jammu and Kashmir last month.
The fresh batch of foreign envoys will visit Jammu and Kashmir later this week, an official said.
Those who will be part of the delegation include envoys from European Union and Gulf countries, the official said.
The batch is likely to commence its two-day visit from February 12, sources revealed.

A team of 15 envoys, including US Ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster, paid a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir in January.
The group of foreign envoys included those from United States, South Korea, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Maldives, Morocco, Fiji, Norway, Philippines, Argentina, Peru, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, and Guyana.
The central government had on August 5, 2019 abrogated Article 370 and bifurcated the erstwhile state Jammu and Kashmir into union territories, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Welcoming the government's move Observer Research Foundation's Director Research Prof Harsh Pant opined that India wants to make a bigger statement to the world community, contrary to the picture which is being showcased by Islamabad.
"India perhaps will be wanting to make a statement to the world community, that contrary to what Pakistan is saying, India has everything in control and is managing the transition to a different administrative set up really well," he said.
The Pakistani administration has been accusing India of serious human rights violations at various international platforms since the special status was taken away from Jammu and Kashmir.
Post the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state by the Indian parliament, Imran Khan had alleged that the Modi administration is planning to the ethnic cleansing of Muslims from Kashmir.
On several occasions, India has slammed the Pakistani Prime Minister's statement, asking him to focus on the atrocities taking place against the minorities in his country.
