New Delhi: Iltija Mufti, daughter of detained former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has termed the grounds on which PSA was invoked against her mother as 'absurd'.
Calling the PSA invoked against her mother as 'illegal', Iltija said that the legal documents explaining the PSA imposed on her mother is devoid of any facts. It instead used terms like 'hard-headed', 'scheming', 'manipulating', 'Kota Rani', 'daddy's girl' as the reasons for the PSA which does not make any sense.
When asked about the envoys'visit to Kashmir, Iltija said that the world knows that the leaders are in custody, the internet is banned and after a point of time, no one will believe the justifications given by the Indian govt.
Iltija said that the people in the valley are living in fear. She said that there is army posted after every 50 feet stretch and people are afraid to voice their feelings.

Clearing her stance, Iltija said that she has no intention of approaching the International Court of Justice as was reported by some media outlets. She said that a hypothetical question was posed to her and she gave a hypothetical answer, adding that she never mentioned anything about going to the ICJ.
Iltija said that it has been a month since she met her mother but she is not on a mission to save her mother, rather she is fighting for the average Kashmiri who is suffering.
Questioned about carrying her mother's legacy forward in the coming panchayat polls, Iltija said that she has no intention of joining politics.
