Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir): An Indian Army jawan, Kamal Vaidya, was killed while another was injured during a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said on Saturday. He was 27. Vaidya was posted in the Dogra Regiment of the Indian Army and was deployed at the forward post in the Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC.
On Saturday, during an explosion, he was injured critically and was taken to a medical facility but succumbed on the way," a senior police official said.
Vaidya was about to get engaged in August and is survived by his parents, elder brother and two sisters.
According to the senior official, the body of the deceased has been shifted to sub-district hospital Mendhar for post mortem
