Srinagar: All eyes are on the All Party Meeting to be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 14 top politicians of Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi on Thursday, nearly two years after the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting is crucial as it is the first such big political happening after the abrogation of Article 370 and division of the erstwhile state into two Union Territories. Several top politicians who are invited to the meeting, left Kashmir and reached New Delhi where they will attend the meeting at 3 pm on Thursday.

People's Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Yousuf Tarigami, Sajad Lone, Altaf Bukhari, Ravender Raina, Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh of the BJP have reached Delhi. National Conference president and MP Farooq Abdullah leaves today morning to attend the big meeting.
PM Modi called the All Party Meeting of 14 leaders on Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Those invited to the meeting include former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Mehboba Mufti, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Farooq Abdullah. Fourteen leaders including Congress' Ghulam Nabi Azad, Tara Chand and GA Mir; NC's Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah; PDP's Mehbooba Mufti, J-K Apni Party's Altaf Bukhari; BJP's Ravinder Raina, Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta; CPI(M)'s M Y Tarigami, and National Panthers Party's Prof Bheem Singh; Peoples Conference's Sajad Gani.

Ahead of the all-party meeting, NC, PDP and their amalgam Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) held several meeting in the past two weeks. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, PAGD spokesman Tarigami said they will apprise the PM of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir which people are facing for the last two years. "We will not ask for the stars. We will only appeal to the PM to restore to us what is guaranteed by the Constitution," he said on Wednesday.
However, the agenda of the meeting has not been disclosed by the PMO office. Besides, PM the meeting as per reports will be attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, MoS in PMO office Dr Jitender Singh.
