Pulwama: Due to unfavourable conditions in Kashmir Valley, many youths here have joined militant organisations and Pulwama district of south Kashmir has been severely affected by militancy.
But now, young people are beginning to spread their wings in other activities as well.
Three youths from Pinglena area of Pulwama have formed a band called 'FALCON' which is being appreciated a lot. The young men have bought all the equipment at their own expense.
One of the three youths said that no support was being given by the government to encourage artists in Kashmir.
"Most artists buy equipment with their own money and hold shows," he said.
The youngsters say that they face a lot of criticism on social media, but they are still working with full courage and enthusiasm.
They said that the situation could be improved if the government provided assistance to the artists.
It is worth mentioning that music has been practised in the valley since ancient times.
Although in the past, only Kashmiri songs were sung here, now children here have started singing Bollywood and Hollywood style songs too.
