Jammu: A 20-year-old man was allegedly attacked by unidentified assailants in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. He later succumbed to injuries during treatment, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place on Monday night when Ajaz Dar, a resident of Rajdhani village in Thanamandi. Dar was attacked near the Muradpur area in Rajouri.
According to the victim's family, Dar was returning home in a car with a buffalo when he was attacked by alleged cow vigilantes on his way. Family members of Ajaz along with many other people staged a protest demanding strict action against the attackers. An FIR has been lodged and further investigation into the matter is underway.
